Sugita Tomokazu is a nerd Japanese voice actor (or seiyuu), born on October 11, 1980 and hailing from Saitama. He's employed by Atomic Monkey and is probably best known for his starring roles in Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu as Kyon, and Gintama as Sakata Gintoki, both of which have landed him consecutive awards as the "most favorite male character" for the 2009 and 2010 Anime Grand Prix. Known for his snarky roles and the ability to ad-lib at the drop of a hat, Sugita's voiced everything from a hotcake loving otome game prince to a rambunctious, masked guitarist living under a bridge.

Outside of voice acting, Sugita's quite well known for being a big anime and game otaku, dropping references like a geek encyclopedia, even when he isn't voicing for Gintama. He appears on a number of anime/game related radios and shows, and has been best buds with fellow seiyuu Nakamura Yuuichi since 2001. However, all his spontaneity and quirkiness is what makes him so lovable: even if it means risking what dignity he has left.
