Sakurai Ruka is the "prince" and invincible hero of the otome game Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side: 3rd Story, and one of the main date-able characters in the game. He lives together with his older brother Kouichi in an old, abandoned diner and is very popular with the girls at school--although he avoids them (and his teachers) by running and jumping out of second story windows. Because of his impulsive nature, Ruka comes off as a little bit wreckless and others often pick fights with him, otherwise he has a very kind exterior towards the heroine. He sometimes skips school, but despite the fact that people feel there's something unusual about him, he's liked by everyone.

Ruka loves hanging out in dangerously high places--everywhere from the ferris wheel to the school roof--perhaps due to the fact that he has a little bit of a superhero complex. He loves fish (both looking at and eating them) and hotcakes, since they're the only thing he knows how to make. Ruka works part time at the Anneri Flower Shop and meets the heroine at the beginning of the game. He seems to express a strange familiarity towards the heroine, but it's left a mystery as to why unless you choose to pursue Ruka's route until the end!
